The FOCIS Lightning2 is a compact, standalone inspection probe that captures and displays the entire end-face image of an MPO connector in less than two seconds. A single button provides automatic focusing, centering and Pass/Fail analysis at the connector and individual-fiber level. It can be used to inspect MPO-8, -12, -16, -24 and -32 connectors. Results can be easily shared via USB and Bluetooth®.

Pass/fail result within seconds: The FOCIS Lightning2 is designed for fast inspection of multi-fiber connectors and bulkheads such as MPO and MTP®, including multi-row variants. It can perform industry-standard and user-defined ferrule end-face cleanliness analysis at a rate of about 1 second per fiber – significantly speeding up inspection time compared with other cameras.

Internal memory and multiple export options

Internal memory and multiple export options: The FOCIS Lightning2 can store 10 000 images locally at the connector and individual-fiber level, along with analyses, overlays and zone tables, and provides an optional Bluetooth wireless link for archiving and reporting. AFL’s FlexApp (iOS and Android) provides a versatile and user-friendly feature set, as well as connectivity with AFL’s FlexReporter-Cloud.

Operation without limits

Operation without limits: thanks to its rechargeable battery and integrated 3.5-inch color TFT LCD touchscreen, the FOCIS Lightning2 can be used independently.

Easy reporting and archiving

Easy reporting and archiving: the FlexReporter software suite is a complete platform for generating reports and sharing results. This platform includes FlexApp, a mobile application that wirelessly transfers test results from the field to the cloud. These results can be accessed via FlexReports, which provide a range of easy-to-use reporting options. FlexReports Basic is included with all AFL OTDRs and enables users to quickly review and analyze results and generate simple single-fiber OTDR and OLTS reports.
