The AQ6377 is the latest version of the optical spectrum analyzer series, offering extended wavelength coverage in the MWIR region from 1900 to 5500 nm. The long wavelength range makes the AQ6377 ideal for environmental sensing and medical applications.
Key features of the AQ6377 include gas purging input/output ports, a built-in cut-off filter for higher-order stray light, and an innovative dual-speed mode that increases the sweep speed by up to 2 times compared to the standard mode.
– Wide wavelength range from 1900 to 5500 nm
– 5 available measurement resolution settings from 0.2 to 5 nm
– Wavelength accuracy: ±0.5 nm
Easy maintenance thanks to the built-in calibration function and wavelength reference source.
– Measurement dynamic range: −60 to +13 dBm
Suitable for measuring high- and low-power sources used in various application areas. Sensitivity: HIGH1-3 is high-dynamic-range mode only.

Due to its high resolution and sensitivity, the AQ6377 can actually detect the presence of water molecules in the air. Water vapor is detected in the upper region of the near-infrared wavelength range and may overlap or mask the spectral characteristics of the actual device under test in that specific region.
By continuously supplying clean purge nitrogen to the monochromator through ports on the rear panel, the AQ6377 can reduce the effect of water vapor absorption and deliver more reliable and accurate measurements than ever before.
Built-in cut-off filter for higher-order stray light
Due to the diffraction technology used, the monochromator can under certain circumstances generate higher-order diffracted light, which appears at wavelengths equal to integer multiples of the input wavelengths.
By cutting off incoming light below 1500 nm using the built-in filter, the AQ6377 drastically reduces the effect of higher-order diffracted light on the measurement. Therefore, the measured data is always reliable and reproduces the actual signal under test.
Dual-speed mode
Increases the sweep speed by up to 2 times compared to the standard mode, with a loss of only 2 dB relative to the base sensitivity value.
Free Space optical input
The AQ6377 uses a free-space optical input structure (i.e. no optical fiber is mounted inside the instrument), which is most effective for guaranteeing high coupling efficiency, measurement repeatability and maintenance-free operation.
