A practical and accessible handbook for installers of single-mode fiber optic networks – a compendium of essential knowledge in a handy format, aimed above all at practitioners.
There are still few publications of this kind in the world containing practical advice on testing FTTH networks. Until now there was also no such handbook in Polish, so we decided to fill that gap.
It does not need to be read “cover to cover”, nor does it require knowledge of specialised and complex topics in fiber optics. We have tried to present all the information clearly and as concisely as possible. Of course it was not always possible to avoid mathematical formulas, but numerous diagrams and graphs explain them well.
When building fiber optic networks, not only experience matters but also theoretical knowledge – and our guide fits these assumptions perfectly. Combining rich theory with practical examples and diagrams means that the optical reflectometer and other instruments will hold no secrets from fiber optic network installers. The handbook works excellently as a source of answers to selected topics in fiber optic technology – making it useful in everyday work building and servicing such networks.
The book is available for sale at a price of 60 PLN net.
