BioNomadix Skin Temperature Amplifier (BN-SKT2)

The wireless, 2-channel BN-SKT2 skin temperature amplifier records the subject’s temperature profile with no cable constraints.

BioNomadix · Wireless skin temperature measurement

The wireless, 2-channel BN-SKT2 skin temperature amplifier records the subject's temperature profile with no cable constraints.

Two independent temperature channels, served by dedicated BIOPAC transducers with different response times, chosen to fit the study protocol.

Part of a larger system

The BN-SKT2 is an expansion module, not a standalone system

The BioNomadix transmitter and receiver alone do not record or store data. Measurement requires an MP200 data acquisition unit (or the earlier MP160/MP150) together with AcqKnowledge software.

In addition, the BN-SKT2 requires a separately ordered BN-TEMP-XDCR transducer (temperature sensor). The receiver connects to an MP200 channel input, and the recorded signal is placed on a shared, synchronized timeline together with the system's other modules.

Key features

Wireless, two-channel measurement

Two independent temperature channels (CH A / CH B) recorded simultaneously from a single transmitter, with no cable to the receiver.

Transducer choice to fit the protocol

Two dedicated sensors: the standard BN-TEMP-A-XDCR (1.1 s response time, adhered to the skin) or the fast-response BN-TEMP-B-XDCR (0.6 s, for measuring in air). Both are compatible with YSI 400 series probes.

Configurable hardware filtering

Switchable bandwidth (factory DC–1 Hz, up to DC–10 Hz max.) and an optional 50/60 Hz mains filter, set via switches on the SKT2-R receiver.

Integration with the MP system

Works with the MP200 (and the earlier MP160/MP150) and AcqKnowledge. The MP200 supports up to 16 BioNomadix data channels on a single system, so the BN-SKT2 can be combined with other modules in the family.

How it works

01

Transducer on the subject

The standard or fast-response sensor is attached to the skin, with the transmitter secured by a strap.

02

Receiver + MP200

Wireless transmission at 2000 Hz to the data acquisition system.

03

Analysis in AcqKnowledge

Continuous recording of the temperature profile, data export, and further analysis.
