BioNomadix 2Ch Wireless EMG Transmitter+Receiver

BioNomadix is a wireless EMG signal amplification system consisting of a transmitter and receiver, designed to record signals from two independent sites with high accuracy.

2-Channel EMG Recording

Independent recording from two muscles simultaneously, providing high experimental flexibility.

Wide Bandwidth 1 Hz to 500 Hz

Accurate representation of muscle activity, from subtle tension to strong contractions.

Wireless Freedom

No movement restrictions for subjects, essential in modern biomechanics and sports.

High Signal Precision

Amplifier and transmitter systems intelligently eliminate interference before the telemetry transmission process.

AcqKnowledge Integration

Integrated analysis software enabling instant processing and filtering of electromyographic signals.

Laboratory-Grade Precision Parameters

CH 1: EMG

Muscle Activity

Monitoring of motor unit recruitment within the studied muscle with remarkable precision and no delay.

CH 2: EMG

Discharge Potentials

Identical, 24-bit recording precision from the second application site, ensuring synchronization of both channels.

SAMPLING

2000 Hz / Channel

Ultra-fast recording ensuring that not even the shortest muscle contraction or tone change is missed.

RESOLUTION

High Sensitivity (mV)

Wide bandwidth of 1-500 Hz enabling precise analysis in the time and frequency domain (FFT).

Signal Flow (Data Flow)

The BIOPAC telemetry system consists of 3 real-time connected modules that ensure crystal-clear signal quality from the patient all the way to the finished waveform on screen.

01

Wearable Transmitter

Placed on the subject's body. Records the EMG signal directly from the muscles at 2000 Hz, instantly digitizing it on the microchip and transmitting radio packets.

02

Receiver Module

Receives encrypted telemetry and decompresses the signal in real time. This module physically plugs into a slot in the universal MP160 or MP200 research station.

03

Main Unit (MP200) & Software

The main station synchronizes signals from other interfaces and reliably transmits them via Ethernet cable to the powerful AcqKnowledge software on the researcher's computer.

Experimental Applications

Electromyographic measurements are the non-invasive gold standard in biomechanics and psychophysiology, widely used to study muscle strength, fatigue, and movement patterns.

Biomechanics and Sport

Synchronous detection of muscle activity during movement. Enables the study of motor unit recruitment, assessing training effectiveness and isometric tension.

Group Dynamics

Since the system pairs separate wireless modules, you can seamlessly monitor the tension responses of two or more people side by side (e.g., during cooperative games).

Research in Motion and VR

Not being tethered to a "desk" in the laboratory opens the way to free navigation through VR simulators and testing postural tension in realistic conditions (Ecological Validity).

Rehabilitation and Ergonomics

Assessment of skeletal muscle tension at workstations, while driving vehicles, and as an invaluable tool for objectively tracking progress in the rehabilitation process.

The BioNomadix system has drastically simplified our research in the Virtual Reality environment. Previously, cables caused constant artifacts for users trying to explore the virtual environment. Now the EMG data quality is perfectly smooth, and participants don't even remember they are wearing the equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Does the system require a stationary connection to the patient?

No, the BioNomadix module is fully wireless and worn on the patient's body. It communicates with the receiver via dedicated high-frequency telemetry, allowing full freedom of movement in the laboratory or in VR simulator environments.

What analysis software is included?

Signals from the amplifier are routed directly to the AcqKnowledge research software, which offers automated procedures for assessing muscle tension (RMS), spectral analysis (FFT), and calculating discharges (Spikes) from the EMG signal in real time and during post-processing.

Can I synchronize EMG with an Eye-Tracker scanner?

Yes. By using the open Lab Streaming Layer (LSL) protocol or digital Hardware Triggering inputs in MP160/MP200 systems, all sensor data streams can be perfectly time-aligned with video from eye-trackers or fNIRS.
