NorthLab ProView Theta LD/XD – interferometer for fiber endface inspection and alignment

NorthLab ProView™ Theta is an interferometer that extends the capabilities of splicers (especially PM) with advanced fiber endface topography and geometry analysis and their alignment before splicing. It acts as the splicer’s „third eye”: connected via an external computer, it analyzes the structure and geometry of the endfaces, creating a detailed digital template of each fiber. The operator matches the templates digitally, and ProView Theta sends precise rotation commands to the splicer, ensuring optimal angular alignment (theta).

As the fiber-optic industry moves toward increasingly complex fiber types, conventional splicers often cannot keep up. ProView Theta answers this challenge — it is suitable for aligning and splicing PM, PCF, air-clad, multicore (MCF) fibers and complex geometries: hexagonal, octagonal and D-shaped.

Available in two models: LD (cladding 125–800 µm) and XD (250–1200 µm). Compatible with PM-type FITEL S185 splicers.
