AFL FCC2 Enhanced Formula – Connector Cleaning Fluid

Easily and safely remove contamination from fiber-optic connector end-faces and bare fiber prior to field termination or splicing. AFL FCC2 Enhanced Formula is a non-flammable, environmentally safe and residue-free solvent that outperforms isopropyl alcohol (IPA)-based agents without carrying their health and safety hazards. FCC2 is not classified as hazardous and is not subject to transport regulations, including air cargo.

Applications: AFL FCC2 Enhanced Formula is an improved cleaning fluid for fiber-optic connector end-faces in a handy dispenser, ideal for service kits and field work. It works with CCT tips, CLETOP sticks and optical wipes — simply moisten the cleaning material with a small amount of fluid and dry-buff the end-face. The “wet-dry” method effectively removes both grease and fingerprints and fine dust that remain after dry-only cleaning.

Advantages: The formula is non-flammable and not classified as a hazardous material, so it can be transported by any means and stored safely. The fluid evaporates without leaving residue and requires no rinsing, resulting in clean, repeatable connections with low insertion loss.
