LIGHTEL Fiber Optic Isolators, Circulators and Faraday Mirrors

LIGHTEL micro-optic isolators, 3-port circulators and Faraday mirrors (FRM) — PI and PM versions, single- and dual-stage, 1064/1310/1480/1550 nm bands, high-power designs. Laser protection against back reflection, sensing and OTDR systems.

LIGHTEL isolators, circulators and Faraday mirrors are micro-optic components based on optical crystals, designed to manage the direction of light propagation. Isolators protect laser sources against back-reflected light, circulators route the signal between ports in a single direction, and Faraday mirrors (FRM) compensate polarization dispersion in interferometric and sensing systems.

Available in polarization-insensitive (PI) and polarization-maintaining (PM) versions, single- and dual-stage, in mini housings, for the 1064 / 1310 / 1480 / 1550 nm bands and in high-power designs.

Variants offered

  • Isolators: PI single-/dual-stage, mini-size (80 µm fiber), 2-in-1 and 3-in-1 1550 nm, 1064 nm, PM versions (including 1064 nm PM)
  • 3-port circulators: PI 1310/1550 nm, PI 1064 nm, PM 1310/1550 nm, PM 1064 nm

Frequently asked questions

Why is a Faraday mirror (FRM) used in sensors?
An FRM reflects light with a 90° polarization rotation, thereby compensating the birefringence of the fiber path — crucial in fiber optic interferometers and sensors where polarization must remain stable.

PI or PM isolator — which to choose?
PI (polarization-insensitive) isolators are used in typical telecom paths; PM isolators — where the polarization state must be preserved, e.g. in coherent and sensing systems.

Are there high-power and 1064 nm versions?
Yes — we offer 20–100 W isolators and 1064 nm components (PI and PM) for fiber lasers.
