NorthLab ProCleave HS-MP – fiber optic cleaver with micropositioner

Precise, electronic fiber optic cleaver with a built-in micropositioner for in-line lens production (GRIN, CLF, SMF). Micrometric control of segment lengths, cleave angle typically < 0.5°, fibers 80–250 µm.

NorthLab ProCleave™ HS-MP is a high-durability, electronic fiber optic cleaver with a built-in micropositioner, designed for the efficient production of in-line fiber optic lens assemblies. It enables micrometric, repeatable control of the length of individual lens segments, making it an ideal tool for advanced fiber optic assemblies based on GRIN, coreless (CLF) and single-mode (SMF) fibers. Typical applications include ultra-small probes, high-power beam delivery and low-loss single-mode fiber coupling.

The device handles fiber diameters from 80 to 250 µm. Combining the micropositioner with a high-resolution digital linear scale ensures precise and repeatable adjustment of the cleave length for each lens segment. Up to 5 segment lengths can be programmed, supporting a semi-automatic, software-controlled process for producing complex lens assemblies.

Advanced ultrasonic diamond blade technology ensures excellent cleave quality — flat fiber endfaces, low cleave angles (typically < 0.5° for 125 µm, SMF28) and minimal blade depth. The fast and convenient clamping mechanism increases work efficiency, and flexible power options (external power supply or built-in battery) enable both stationary and mobile operation. ProCleave HS-MP is compatible with the fiber holders of leading splicer manufacturers (Fujikura, Fitel, 3SAE).*
