AFL FCP1 – Fiber Connector Cleaning Kits

AFL FCP1 kits give technicians the tools to quickly and easily clean various types of fiber connectors in the field. Many of the most common problems in fiber networks result from dirty connectors. FCP1 kits provide compact, safe and reliable cleaning of all connector end-face types, including military and multi-fiber designs. A wide choice of pre-configured kits makes ordering easier.

Cleaning connector end-faces in sleeves (through adapters, bulkheads): FCC2 fluid and CCTS-25 tips (2.5 mm — FC, SC, ST), CCTS-12 (1.25 mm — LC, MU) and CCTS-16 (1.6 mm — military termini, D4).

Cleaning exposed ferrule end-faces (patch cords): FCC2 fluid, Cletop cassette cleaner and the universal CCTP-25 tip.

Cleaning alignment sleeves: FCC2 fluid and ACT01 swabs (2.5 mm — FC, SC, ST), ACT02 (1.25 mm — LC, MU) and Cletop Stick-Type (2.0 mm — D4).

Cleaning fibers before splicing or FASTConnect® termination: FPF1 fluid and FiberWipes™ wipes.

Optional add-on: VS 300 optical or video microscope for end-face inspection.

Application: The AFL FCP1 kit is a compact set for cleaning fiber connectors in the field, containing FCC2 fluid, CCT tips, a CLETOP cassette cleaner and FiberWipes wipes. It handles cleaning of both connector end-faces on patch cords and connectors in through bulkheads and adapters, using wet and dry methods.
