OFI-50A Optical Fiber Traffic Identifier

Traffic identifiers are used to detect an optical signal in a fiber, its type, and its traffic direction. It can be used at any point on the fiber. The advantage of this device is the non-invasive measurement (no need to disconnect the path) and no disturbance to the signal.

The OFI-50A Digital Optical Fiber Traffic Identifier uses the operating principle of a fiber optic sensor to confirm the target. It enables rapid identification of deeply buried, aerial, and in-duct fiber optic cable without causing any damage, offering a simple method for maintenance personnel.
Accurate identification of the target cable can be carried out using the OFI-50 and its matched headphones. This is achieved by gently tapping successive cables. When the operator taps the target cable, the tapping will be clearly heard in the headphones.

This identifier is very easy to use. It features a handy design, ease of transport, and a 3.5-inch color display that shows waveforms in real time. Fast and accurate identification of the measured cable is achieved thanks to software with an intelligent operating/display mode, combined with real-time sound transmission (to the headset) and 3 tapping recognition methods.
