ToupTek SWIR Sony IMX993 is a short-wave infrared (SWIR) camera with a Sony IMX993 SenSWIR InGaAs sensor of 3 MP resolution (2048×1536) and a 3.45 µm pixel, imaging in the 400–1700 nm range. It combines a high acquisition speed with very good image quality, offers a global shutter and a choice of USB3, 10GigE, CoaXPress, CameraLink or GigE interface, in cooled (TEC) and uncooled versions.
A SWIR camera captures images in the short-wave infrared range (approx. 400–1700 nm) – it lets you “see” what is invisible in visible light, while differing from thermal imaging cameras (LWIR), which rely on heat radiation. Thanks to this, SWIR excels in material analysis, moisture detection, silicon see-through, and imaging through fog, smoke, or dust.
The Sony IMX993 SenSWIR sensor used (InGaAs, 3.45 µm) delivers 3 MP resolution while maintaining high speed and sensitivity across the entire 400–1700 nm band. It is one of Sony’s latest SWIR sensors, combining a small pixel size with a wide dynamic range.
