ToupTek SWIR Sony IMX991 is a high-speed short-wave infrared camera with a Sony IMX991 SenSWIR InGaAs sensor of VGA 640×512 resolution and a large 5 µm pixel, imaging in the 400–1700 nm range. The large pixel and high frame rate (up to ~400 fps) favor low-light imaging and fast processes.
A SWIR camera captures images in the short-wave infrared band – it lets you “see” what is invisible in visible light, while differing from thermal imaging (LWIR), which relies on heat radiation. This makes SWIR ideal for material analysis, moisture detection, silicon inspection, and imaging through fog, smoke, and dust.
