Our IQS42 and IQS70 optical receivers are integrated with TeledyneLeCroy’s LABMaster 10Zi-A real-time oscilloscope series to provide 65GHz system bandwidth for optical modulation analysis of dual-polarization signals up to 130 GB. The Optical-LinQ software provides real-time calibration and control over the optical receiver along with a range of views and analytical parameters.
Industry-leading system bandwidth
The 70GHz IQS70 optical receiver paired with the LabMaster 10-65Zi-A oscilloscope enables analysis of signals up to 130GBaud symbol rate.
For lower-rate applications, the 42GHz IQS43 coherent optical receiver provides symbol rate analysis up to 72GBaud for DP-16QAM or DP-QPSK when used with the 36 GHz LABMaster 10-36Zi-A.
Fully scalable architecture
With high-speed optical data transmission, hardware requirements are extensive and constantly changing. It is critical that an optical modulation analyzer can be scalable to accommodate changes in data transmission. This is a solution that can be easily upgraded and expanded to meet future test challenges.
Seamless system architecture
The device uses a system architecture that allows a coherent optical receiver to be connected to any compatible TeledyneLeCroy oscilloscope without the need for factory calibration. All required calibrations are built into the receiver and performed at measurement time. This architecture enables an easy upgrade path in the industry – add an additional or faster IQS receiver to the oscilloscope module and resume analysis.
Seamless multi-module configuration
The LeCroyChannelSync architecture provides excellent timing accuracy by design. Using a single 10GHz distributed clock for all acquisition modules enables the lowest skew between all channels. The simplest integration and connection and the highest confidence in results. A single oscilloscope display provides easy access to all channels and analysis results, regardless of the number of modules.
Seamless software integration
Optical-LinQ is intuitive and fully integrated software for the analysis of modulated optical signals. It runs entirely within the LabMaster 10Zi-A user interface. No other OMA on the market offers such integrated control of both the oscilloscope and the coherent receiver. Optical-LinQ provides fully automated control of the IQS receiver, phase recovery algorithms, polarization demultiplexing and an exhaustive number of displays and modulation analysis parameters.
