What is a CW Laser Diode Driver (LDD/TEC)?

An LDD/TEC driver is an electronic driver that powers a laser diode with a constant (CW) current and – optionally – controls the thermoelectric (TEC) cooling of the laser module, stabilizing its operating temperature. Innolume integrates the current driver and the TEC driver in a single, compact enclosure, which simplifies the design of the optical path. The driver is available in a benchtop version and as an OEM module for integration, as well as in a variant with a factory-installed laser diode ready for operation.
