The AFL FOCIS Flex3 is a microscope (probe) for inspecting fiber connectors that delivers 100% end-face inspection of the ferrule without slowing down your work in the field. A single button press automatically focuses, centers and captures the connector end-face image, applies pass/fail criteria and saves the result. The large touchscreen makes contamination immediately visible, and wireless pairing with a FlexScan® OTDR or a smartphone combines inspection and OTDR data in a single report.

Works wherever you do

A fully standalone device with a large, integrated display and a battery — the FOCIS Flex3 is ready to work anywhere, with no need for an external OTDR or display module. The compact design fits in your hand, and its intuitive operation lets you carry out an inspection just as quickly and correctly every time.

Connectivity when you need it

Pair the device wirelessly with a FlexScan® OTDR or any mobile device running the free AFL FlexApp and get instant access to captured images and pass/fail results — formatted, ready to share and hand over to your customer.

Built-in memory and reporting

The device stores up to 10,000 results with FlexScan-compatible file naming, keeping your workflow consistent across devices. Results are transferred wirelessly via FlexApp to the AFL FlexReporter® cloud and then shared through the FlexReports PC software to generate professional reports. Results are presented in image view (pass/fail zones overlaid on the connector end-face) or in table view (breakdown into zones A, B, C, D).

A tip for every connector

Interchangeable adapter tips cover the full range of connectors — single-fiber patch cords and bulkhead connectors, with PC and APC polish. A single tool handles the job regardless of its form. Kits include adapter tips, a soft carrying case and a FlexReporter Basic license.
