AFL FlowScout TPPM is a through-mode PON power meter for simultaneous measurement of GPON and XGS-PON signals.
The AFL FlowScout Through-Mode PON Power Meter (TPPM) is a through-mode PON optical power meter that identifies, measures and qualifies upstream and downstream signal levels in FTTx PON networks. It detects GPON, XGS-PON and video signal simultaneously — with no configuration, delivering an on-screen result in seconds.
The AFL FlowScout Through-Mode PON Power Meter (TPPM) is a through-mode optical power meter that identifies, measures and qualifies both downstream and upstream signal levels in FTTx PON networks. It is the ideal tool for technicians responsible for the activation and maintenance of networks combining GPON/EPON, video and next-generation PON (XG/XGS-PON, 10GEPON).
Unlike competing through-mode PON power meters, the FlowScout TPPM requires no configuration whatsoever. The technician connects the fiber under test and the results appear on the large, colour touchscreen within about 3 seconds. Built-in save and reporting options let you verify and document results directly in the field. Minimal training requirements make the device accessible to novice and experienced installers alike.
The TPPM simplifies PON network validation by identifying, measuring and qualifying signal levels. It ensures trouble-free service activation, testing of PON traffic in residential and commercial areas, and easy identification and verification of existing and new PON wavelengths. The meter independently measures the power of each wavelength, without complex configuration.
A set of field-replaceable output adapters supports multiple connector types and makes cleaning easier. The portable, durable construction easily withstands a 1-metre drop, and the splash-resistant buttons can be operated even while wearing gloves. The Li-Polymer battery provides long operating time, and the automatic shutdown function saves power.
A built-in file management system simplifies organising test results across multiple files. Technicians can conveniently transfer files to a computer over USB for analysis, report generation and printing. The QR code function makes it easy to collect and transfer measurement data using compatible mobile devices.
