Fiber-processing systems are constantly evolving, as are their internal optical components. The Lightel CW-7000 workstation is a very useful tool for the development and production of tapered fibers. It is also used for the manufacture of couplers for fiber lasers. The CW-7000 is suited to the production of end pumps or side-pump combiners.
The CW-7000 series workstation was designed based on decades of Lightel practice in fiber-optic technology and hands-on experience in the production of fiber pump combiners. Thanks to its simplified construction, there is no need for any glass tubes or capillaries. The process of producing modified fiber is simple and easy to learn. The fiber holders / fixtures are also practically maintenance-free and extremely easy to change for different sizes and numbers of fibers.
The versatile software features include highly configurable dynamic stretching, gas flow control and positioning of the fiber cleaving device. These features allow the user to control most parameters and create their own programs, making the workstation ideal for both production and research.
