NorthLab ProView LD – Interferometer for Fiber and Connector Endface Inspection (125–800 µm)

NorthLab ProView™ LD is an advanced interferometer for precise measurement and inspection of fiber and connector endfaces with diameters of 125–800 µm. It proves itself on production lines where simple, fast and highly accurate endface inspection matters, as well as in R&D environments and connector maintenance.

An interferometric fringe image can be hard to interpret — that is why the ProView LD offers fully automatic 2D and 3D topographic analysis functions that automatically determine the radius and angle of the endface. The PASS/FAIL mode lets you assess endface quality via color codes. Beyond angle and radius, the device also measures, among others, fiber diameters and distances between defined points.

The “for connectors” version is supplied with a ready connector holder for SMA, FC/PC, ST/PC or LD80; a universal V-groove clamp for bare fibers is optionally available (holders on request). The compact design pairs well with cleavers, polishing stations and ultrasonic cleaners. Connectivity and power via USB 3.0, operated from an external PC (not included).
