Innolume pulsed laser diode (SM-BTF) – gain-switching, 1015–1125 nm

The Pulsed Laser Diode (SM-BTF) from Innolume is a single-mode, fiber-coupled pulse source in a butterfly (BTF) package. Based on quantum-dot (QD) technology, the diodes are available in Fabry-Perot variants (peak power up to 1000 mW) and DFB variants with generation of ultrashort 50 ps pulses by the gain-switching method, in the wavelength range 1015–1125 nm. Ideal for seeding fiber lasers.

What is a pulsed laser diode (SM-BTF)?

Innolume pulsed laser diodes in a BTF package are available in two main types. Fabry-Perot diodes offer peak power up to 1000 mW and continuous power up to 400 mW, making them perfectly suited for seeding fiber lasers. DFB diodes generate ultrashort 50 ps pulses by the gain-switching technique, at 300 mW peak power and continuous power up to 50 mW. FBG lasers complement the offer with generation of nanosecond pulses. Fabry-Perot is chosen for high-power applications, and DFB for precise, ultrashort pulses.
