Color configurable touchscreen
The integrated front-panel touchscreen summarizes the measurement status. It allows you to set color-coded pass/fail criteria. Monitor a single channel across up to 24 channels or change test parameters simply by touching the screen.

Fast software-based data capture
The OP740 includes OPL-740 software for customization and fast data capture from one to 24 channels. The OPL-740 software allows all 24 channels to be monitored simultaneously and performs automatic IEC 61300-3-28 transient loss testing.

Unmatched variable sampling rate
A maximum speed of 125,000 samples per second with an 8 μs sampling period, from one to 24 detectors simultaneously, exceeds all requirements of the IEC 61300-3-28 standard.

Universal adapter interface
Our universal OPM adapter system easily accommodates standard connector types, including FC, SC, LC, and ST, as well as universal adapters for 1.25 mm and 2.5 mm ferrules. The OP740 can also be equipped with electrical ports for remote head detectors.

Backward compatibility
The OP740 is a plug-in upgrade for existing multichannel optical power meters, such as the OP710, in an existing OptoTest measurement system. It can be used with OptoTest software, including OPL-Max, OPL-CLX, and the SDK via the USB port on the instrument.

Individual power meters for maximum flexibility
Up to 24 individual optical power meters can be built into each OP740, which can simultaneously measure output power. Our full range of InGaAs and silicon detectors can be paired with any combination of connector types to easily match every device under test, no matter the complexity.

Built-in USB 3.1 communication for fast data capture across all channels
The USB 3.1 interface seamlessly connects the OP740 to the OPL-740 software, enabling fast data capture and transfer of all channels for reporting and analysis
