Bidirectional measurement of fiber optic components for insertion loss (IL) and return loss (RL). Measurement is based on the pulsed method, without the need for mandrel wrapping or gel at the fiber end. Loss is measured using a stabilized light source.

– Fully automated, parallel IL and RL measurements for two wavelengths without mandrel wrapping
– Bidirectional operation; measurement of total insertion loss and return loss
– External power meter for single-direction operation
– Built-in InGaAs optical power meters have a measurement range exceeding -65 dBm
