The OP815 is designed for fast and accurate insertion loss (IL) measurement of fiber optic components. Insertion loss is measured using a built-in, stabilized source combined with a precision optical power meter. Using the OP815, dual-wavelength insertion loss (IL) measurements are performed in less than one second.

Like all other OptoTest devices, the OP815 supports a USB interface. The turnkey OPL-Pro application software fully integrates this instrument into the data acquisition process of an efficient production line.
