The single-mode Fabry-Perot (FP) laser diode from Innolume is a light source with diffraction-limited beam quality, built on the proprietary quantum-dot (QD) technology. The Fabry-Perot resonator with two parallel mirrors stabilizes the lasing conditions and ensures high beam quality across the 1000–1340 nm wavelength range, with continuous-wave (CW) power up to 700 mW. The diodes are available in a fiber-coupled version and in a TO package.
A Fabry-Perot (FP) laser diode operates in a single transverse mode, delivering a diffraction-limited output beam with high power density that can be efficiently collimated. The FP configuration with two parallel resonator mirrors stabilizes the lasing conditions and improves beam quality, which makes these diodes well suited for optical systems requiring high precision. The combination of high CW power, precise wavelength control and configurable packaging solutions makes them indispensable in specialized photonic applications.
High CW power: up to 700 mW for the fiber-coupled version and up to 500 mW for TO-package models.
Wavelength precision and tuning: wide range with a customization option; chip-temperature tuning keeps the emission stable within +/-5 nm or better.
Single-mode or PM fiber: coupling to single-mode (SM) or polarization-maintaining (PM) fiber, 900 µm loose tube jacket and an optional external optical isolator.
Various connectors: FC/PC, SC/APC, SC/PC and an APC ferrule for flexible interfacing.
TO package: TO-can headers (open or hermetic), C-mount or aluminum nitride (AlN) submount; custom packaging available.
