The Broad-Area Laser (BA) from Innolume is a multimode high-power semiconductor source mounted on a C-mount or submount, available in various aperture sizes. Based on proprietary quantum-dot technology, it delivers a high output power up to 15 W from a single emitter across the 1020–1320 nm range.

A Broad-Area (BA) laser is a multimode Fabry-Pérot semiconductor laser with a wide active area (mesa), designed to generate high optical power from a single emitter. Mounting on a C-mount or submount ensures effective heat dissipation from the package front to the heatsink, guaranteeing high power, reliability and optimal operation. The C-mount package, known for easy assembly and excellent thermal contact, performs especially well in high-power applications, while the submount is an economical solution while maintaining high power. The ability to select the aperture size and cavity length provides flexibility to match the laser to a specific application.
