The FBG laser (Fiber-Bragg-Grating) from Innolume is a laser diode coupled to a fiber Bragg grating (FBG), which acts as a wavelength-selective filter. As a result, the emission is spectrally narrowed and stabilized, and the wavelength precisely controlled. Lasers based on Innolume’s proprietary quantum-dot (QD) technology operate in the 1018–1345 nm range with power up to 500 mW.
A laser with a Bragg grating (FBG, Fiber Bragg Grating) is a system combining a laser diode with a passive Bragg grating written inside an optical fiber. The grating acts as a wavelength-selective filter, effectively narrowing and stabilizing the laser output spectrum. Combining the diode with an FBG grating enables precise control of the wavelength, spectral width and stabilization of the emission, which makes this type of laser ideal for demanding measurement and industrial applications.
